A pressure group in the All Progressives Congress under the auspices of Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability, PRIFGLA has organised a prayer and fasting programme seeking God’s intervention towards the unity and success of the party come 2023.
A party chieftain and Chairman Advisory Council of PRIFGLA, Hon. Stephen Ogullah while speaking during the prayers and fasting programme harped on unity amongst the Leader of APC in Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva, Chief David Lyon and Senator Heineken Lokpobiri as according to him a divided house cannot achieve anything.
Ogallah noted that it is only when APC leaders unite as one family that the mission to retain power at the centre and win all the state Assembly seats, National Assembly seats and reclaim the Governorship position the party lost in the 2019 election.
He stressed the importance of good leadership in all strata of governances, insisting that accountability breeds good leadership and enjoined members who are engaged in blackmail, backbiting and name-calling to stop such behaviour in the interest of peace.
The advisory council chairman noted that the council has recorded huge success in uniting the leaders, adding that there is hope at the end of the day.
Also speaking, the founder of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability, PRIFGLA, Pastor Reuben Wilson said the fasting and prayer are convened to seek the face of God in uniting the leaders of the party.
Pastor Reuben stated that it is the love he has for the party that prompted him to form the initiative, adding that the APC is ready to retain power at the centre and take over all the elective positions in the state.
The Director-General of the initiative, Dr. Solomon David said the initiative is determined to achieve the mission of galvanizing support for the APC to win all the seats in the forthcoming election.
