Policemen from Squadron 27, attached to Puff Adder, Katsina State, who were said to have engaged heavily armed bandits in a shoot out yesterday however, loss one of their colleagues.
The SUPREME learnt that, Inspector Yahaya Bellio could not survive bullet gun shot wounds from the bandits. He was said to have been rushed to a hospital were a medical Doctor confirmed him dead.
However, another officer, AsP Suleiman Sani was said to have sustained gun shot wounds on his head and chest, and he is said to be receiving treatment in a hospital.
The SUPREME excousively learnt that, the policemen were ambushed by the bandits along Kankara-Kafi road in Kankara Local Government of Katsina State.
We also gathered that, reinforcement has been sent to Kankara to ensure that, the bandits are apprehended, and to sustain peace in the area.
All the police rifles were said to have been protected from being stolen by the bandits.
