As part of efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of Police Tactical operatives participating in different operations across the state.

Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command CP Ayuba Elkanah commenced an Operational Tour of Inspection to locations where Police Tactical operatives attached to Operation Puff Adder were deployed along Gusau – Mayanci – Maradun – Talata Mafara and Bakura axis.

The purpose of the visit was to assess their operational capacity and make appropriate adjustments that will enhance their operational efficiency. During the operational visit, the Commissioner of Police charged the operatives to be professionally alive to their responsibility. He further urged them to take their personal safety very paramount so that members of the communities can be adequately protected against the activities of recalcitrant bandits and other criminal elements.

The CP while commending the commitment and resilience of the operatives enjoined them to always remain good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police, through hard work and dedication to duty, and also improve their working synergy with other security agencies and host communities.

CP Elkanah assured them that the Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Usman Baba psc+, NPM, FDC is aware of their commitment in the ongoing Operations against criminal elements and called on them to sustain the tempo while the IGP and his management team are working tirelessly to improve their welfare. The CP warned them against unprofessional conduct.

The CP visited some critical stakeholders such as Emirs of Maradun, Bakura and Talata Mafara. The idea was to strengthen the existing collaboration with Police Partners in crime management and control so that the ongoing effort to rid the State of all activities of criminal elements can be achieved.

The Operational Tour of Inspection will be replicated to other locations in the state.
