The Managing Director (MD) of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, (NLNG) Mr Tony Attah paid a courtesy visit on the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris on 13th October, 2016 the at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The IGP appreciated the MD and his executive management team for the visit, he expressed deep gratitude on the cordial and good working relationship existing between the two organisations. He further solicited for the cooperation of the NLNG in curbing violent crimes and other criminal activities in the creeks of the Niger Delta states.
The Inspector-General of Police, further assured the Managing Director (NLNG) that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to partner with the organization to ensure the protection of its staff, facilities and other infrastructures spread across the country.
In his remarks, the Managing Director, congratulated the IGP on his well deserved appointment as the 19th indigenous Inspector General of Police and thanked him for the warm reception accorded him and his executive management team. He further sought for effective partnership and continuous support of the Nigeria Police Force in all areas of the agency’s operations in the Niger Delta states and other states in the country. He underscored the importance of adequate security coverage of NLNG facilities and subsidiaries in Niger Delta Region and other parts of the country.
He also assured the IGP that the NLNG will give maximum support and cooperation to the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring that the country overcomes the security challenges currently being witnessed in the Niger Delta Region and other flash points in the country.
