Protest: Police Deploys Six Helicopters, IGP Holds Daily Night Meetings

The police authority has deployed six helicopters across the country to assist ground policemen to curb any violence.

The SUPREME discrete investigations reveal that, one helicopter each was deployed to South-South, South-East, South-West and one to hover round the entire northern parts of the country.
“We stationed two here (Abuja) because of the peculiar nature of FTC.

You will agree that FTC witnessed more violence, ,and we can’t tolerate that,” a reliable source at Force Headquarters who pleaded anonymity disclosed.

Meanwhile, further investigations reveal that, due to violent protests recorded in some parts of the country, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun holds daily marathon meetings with his management team, and some strategic senior officers till late at night.

Another source at Force Headquarters, hinted that, ‘there are times the IG leave office 1am,” since the protest against bad government began on the 1st of this month, August

The SUPREME further learnt that, on daily basis, the IG with his team and strategic officers hold marathon meetings to review the day’s events and plan strategies for the next day.
“Every day some of us leave office 10pm sometimes 11pm and resume 8am the following day,” a source disclosed.
