Suspected Bandit From Borno Arrested In Bayelsa, Police Recovers Two Rifles,120 Live Ammunition In Semovita Bag

The police in Bayelsa State have arrested one Muhammed Usman age 23 years, with two rifles and 120 live ammunition.

The SUPREME learnt that, about 6pm yesterday January 8, 2025, policemen attached to Safer Highway on stop and search at Zarama Point, East West Road, stopped a Sienna car coming from Warri,, and the passengers with their luggages were thoroughly searched.

We gathered that, during the search, one AK47 Rifle with breech Number K16333 with 60 live ammunition, and AR Rifle with breech Number 18455 with 60 live ammunition, were found in a Semovita bag belonging to Usman.

We also learnt that Usman and the rifles with the ammunition were handed over to the officer in charge of Puff Adar Squad in Bayelsa State Command for further interrogations.

The police is however, yet to give details on Usman wether he is a bandit or a kidnapper or a gun runner supplying guns and ammunition to criminals in Bayelsa State.
