This is a season of mournings for the police as a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Gbolahan Olugbemi who was said to be serving with the Force Criminal and Investigation Department, allegedly committed suicide on Easter Sunday in his house in Oyo State.
The police is still mourning the gruesome murder of six policemen in Uggelli, Delta State early February this year, while six other policemen are still missing.
The SUPREME learnt that, DCP Gbolahan had gone home for the Easter holiday at his hometown in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The deceased officer was an Aide de Camp (ADC) to late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, former governor of Oyo State in 2006.
He was also Personal Assistant (PA) to one time Commissioner of Police and to a former l AIG Zone 2 Lagos.

But it was reported that, a family member whose identity is being shielded disclosed that Olugbemi, who normally go home during Easter celebrations, told his aides at the weekend to go to their various towns to celebrate with their families.
We also learnt that, the late DCP Gbolahan lived alone. Only God knows what could have prompted him to take his own life. As at the time of going to press, there is no official statement over the death of the senior police officer
However, we learnt that the police authorities have commenced discrete investigations on what might have promoted DCP Gbolahan to have commited suicide.
