Unknown gunmen were said to have yesterday at about 5.30pm attacked a police patrol team at Opobo Junction, Ogbohill, in Aba, Abia Stare capital.
The SUPREME exclusively learnt that, the gunmen numbering about five, were in a Sienna silver colour car, when they attacked the policemen on stop and search duty.
We learnt that, during the attack, a
Superintended of Police (SP) and an Inspector (names with held) were shot dead, while another Inspector, Ibe Konne, sustained gun shot injury. He is said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital
The police patrol vehicle door was said to have been shattered by gun pellets.
