The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 15; with headquarters in Borno State, AIG Bassey Ewah, yesterday September 10, 2026, paid a courtesy visit on the Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji (Dr.) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-Kanemi.
His Royal Highness welcomed the AIG and his management team to Borno State and expressed his delight at the visit. He narrated a brief history of Borno State and shared with the AIG insights into the rich culture for which the state is known. He also stated that Borno State is the only state in Nigeria that shares international borders with three countries: Niger Republic, Chad and Cameroon.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of a history book to the AIG by His Royal Highness, an exchange of contact details and pleasantries.
