Screening of about 1,000 intending Christian pilgrims to the Holy land lsrael, from Adamawa State, took place at the state Christian Pilgrims Board secretariat Yola the state capital, on Thursday October 20 and Friday October 21.
The screening exercise was done by a combined team of security agents, clerics and staff of the Board to ensure there was no infiltration of bad elements. It was supervised by the state Executive Secretary, Bishop Dr. Jinga Mayo.
Investigations by The SUPREME reveal that, Adamawa State is one of the states with the highest number of pilgrims in this year Christian pilgrimage to Israel.
For instance, one of the Northern states is said to have less than 100 pilgrims to Israel.
Interestingly, the national executive secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Board, Ojah Tor paid a visit to the state Christian Pilgrims Board on Thursday, while the screening went on. He was said to have expressed satisfaction with the screening exercise.
Fillers at the screening center indicated that the exercise was smooth without any hitches.
