The newly inaugurated advisory committee members of Pastor Reuben Initiative For Leadership and Accountability, PRIFGLA, a political pressure group under the All Progressives Congress, APC in Bayelsa State has been charged to reconcile aggrieved leaders ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The charge was given by APC chieftain and former Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Alamene Williams while inaugurating members of the PRIFGLA advisory committee in the group’s office in Yenagoa.
According to Alamene, the advisory committee is made up of elders, fathers and mothers chosen from the eight LGAs with pedigree of integrity who have paid their dues politically, adding that the committee is to unite, guide and advise the group when necessary.
He pointed out that the task before advisory committee members is enormous and urged them to work tirelessly to reclaim APC’s lost mandate in Bayelsa.
He stressed the need for members to unite all aggrieved leaders at the top, those at the middle and members at the bottom in respectIve of their differences, emphasizing that it is only by being united be that APC can reclaim its lost mandate.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman of the advisory committee, Hon. Stephen Ogullah thanked the initiator of the group, Pastor Reuben Wilson for bringing APC members together as one big family..
Ogullah said it was heart breaking and traumatising that after the candidate of the APC, Chief David Lyon won Bayelsa Governorship election by landslide was short-changed and denied the mandate by the Supreme Court to govern Bayelsa State.
He sued for unity amongst leaders in order to make the party succeed in subsequent election, and enjoined those aggrieved to sheathe their sword and work together as one big family.
He promised on behalf of the members to carry out the assigned task with all sense of duty and committment to move the APC forward.
While inaugurating the Senatorial, LG and ward coordinators, the initiator of the group, Pastor Reuben Wilson mission of the PRIFGLA is to retain power at the centre and to take over Bayelsa State.
Pastor Reuben enjoined DG, Senatorial, LG and ward coordinators to move from house to house, community to community, ward to ward to galver is support for the APC to win elections from the local government to the Governorship.
He emphasized the need for unity amongst party members, adding that without unity no party can succeed.
