The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Alkali Usman Baba has deployed three heavily armed helicopters to monitor the governorship election scheduled for Saturday May 18, 2022.
Investigations by The SUPREME reveal that, the three helicopters landed Ekiti on Wednesday and have being hovering the state
Dependable source at Force Headquarter Abuja, hinted The SUPREME that, “there are 12 crew members including three engineers. A CSP is on ground controlling the three helicopters. And we are monitoring from here (Abuha) “
The AIG in charge of Police Airwing, AIG Danladi Lalas when contacted on phone, said, the DIG incharge of security of the election DIG Johnson Kokumo is the one who can speak on the helicopters and on the crew members.
But DIG Kokumo could not be reached when calls were put to him at 1020pm
We however, learnt that the three helicopters would be deployed in the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
