Eid-el-Fitre: Enugu, Delta States Police Assure Of Tight Security, Deploy Massive Policemen

The Commissioners of Police, Enugu and Delta states Commands, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa and CP Aina Aqdesola warmly felicitates with Muslim faithful in Enugu and in Delta states on the successful completion of Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

Enugu CP commends their prayers and urges them to sustain the values of peace, tolerance, and sacrifice that define the season.

To ensure a hitch-free celebration, the Commissioner of Police has ordered the strategic deployment of personnel, intelligence, and operational assets across the State, with intensified patrols and enhanced security presence at prayer grounds, recreational centres, and other public places. He has also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Units to ensure effective supervision of deployments and operations, while strengthening collaboration with other security agencies throughout the period.

CP Giwa wishes all Muslim faithful a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration and urges residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant, and to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station or via 08032003702, 08086671202, 112, 09134666668, or 09134448093.
He reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property and calls for sustained public cooperation.

In the same vein, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, has ordered the strategic deployment of personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-el-Fitr celebration scheduled for today Thursday 19th and tomorrow Friday 20th March 2026.

The CP assured Muslim faithful and residents of adequate security, including measures to safeguard lives and property and ensure the free flow of traffic, noting that a robust operational deployment comprising conventional police personnel, tactical units, and other operational assets has been emplaced at all Eid prayer grounds and other strategic locations across the State.

CP Aina Adesola warned criminal elements, including cultists and other mischief-makers, to desist from unlawful acts, stressing that the Command is fully prepared to deal decisively with any threat to public peace. He has directed Divisional Police Officers, Area Commanders, and Tactical Commanders to intensify intelligence-led raids on criminal hideouts and black spots, while the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations is to ensure effective coordination and supervision of all deployments for the sustenance of peace and security before, during, and after the celebrations.

The Command urges members of the public to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station.

The Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the Management Team, officers, and men of the Command, wishes all Muslim faithful a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
