The Federal Government on Wednesday appointed new Directors-General (D-Gs) for six parastatals within the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed announced the appointments in Abuja in statement.
According to the statement, Mr. Mansur Liman is the new D-G for Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
The statement also named Yakubu Mohammed as the new D-G for Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) while, Garba Abari is D-G National Orientation Agency (NOA);
Also appointed are: Mr. Bayo Onanuga now the Managing Director, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN); Mr. Osita Okechukwu D-G Voice of Nigeria (VON) while, Mr. Ishaq Modibo Kawu is the D-G Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC)
The statement added that the appointment of the new appointees is with immediate effect and they would replace the CEOs of the organisations who were disengaged on Feb. 15.
