From Monday Ochuko – Asaba

The Delta State Police Command has recorded breakthroughs in Agbor and Warri, resulting in the arrest of two suspects and recovery of ammunition and quantities of beverages suspected to be adulterated.

Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU), Ubulu-Uku, arrested one Happiness Clifford, female, aged 28 years, in connection with suspected gun-running activities in Agbor, Ika South LGA. A search of the suspected hideout led to the recovery of ten (10) live cartridges concealed in a bucket. During preliminary investigation, the suspect allegedly identified her husband, one Clifford Okoro, as a major supplier of the ammunition. Investigation is ongoing, while efforts have been intensified to apprehend Okoro.

On 17th August 2026, operatives of the State Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU), Warri, during a stop-and-search operation along the Warri–Agbarho Expressway, intercepted a Toyota Sienna conveying quantities of “Gbefun Hot Drink” suspected to be adulterated and arrested the 44-year-old driver. Further investigation led operatives to a warehouse at Lower Ginuwa, Warri, where additional quantities of the suspected adulterated drink, other beverages and a Suzuki Shuttle bus loaded with similar products were recovered. The suspected operators fled on sighting the police. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend them and unravel the source and distribution network.

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, commended the operatives and directed that investigations be pursued diligently to apprehend all suspects connected with the cases. He urged members of the public to continue supporting the Police with credible and timely information.

Spokesman for the Command SP Bright Edafe confirmed the story.
