The Delta State, Enugu State and Ogun State Police Commands have deployed police detectives for the 2026 computer-based Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scheduled to hold from today Thursday, April 16 to Saturday, April 25, 2026,
In Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, strategically deployed personnel to all thirty-one (31) accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the State for a secure and hitch-free exercise conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The Commissioner of Police is said to have directed all Area Commanders whose jurisdictions host CBT centres to assume full responsibility for security at the centres, ensuring strict supervision of personnel, sustained visibility policing, rapid response capability, and close coordination with Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and examination officials, with particular focus on intelligence gathering and the protection of ICT infrastructure against any attempt to compromise the integrity of the examination.
The Command reiterated that examination malpractice, impersonation, or any form of disorderly conduct will not be tolerated, and offenders will be promptly arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law, while candidates are advised to comply with all guidelines, conduct themselves responsibly, and arrive early at their centres.

Also in Enugu State, the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitru Giwa is said to have ordered the deployment of adequate personnel, operational, and intelligence resources to all approved centres for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Test (CBT) across the State.
The deployment, which is in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, is to ensure a safe and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials, and other stakeholders throughout the examination period.
Deployed operatives have been cautioned to remain professional, courteous, and firm in preventing examination malpractice, disorderly conduct, and any security breaches. They are also to collaborate with other security agencies to effectively secure the centres, their surroundings, and access routes.
The Commissioner urged candidates, parents, guardians, and the public to cooperate with security personnel and comply with all guidelines for a smooth exercise.

In the same vein, the Ogun State Police Command has deployed police officers and operational assets across seventy-two (72) accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in the State as part of strengthened security arrangements for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The deployment follows the Command’s adoption of proactive, firm, and intelligence-led security measures aimed at ensuring a safe, orderly, and credible examination exercise across all CBT centres in Ogun State. The operational plan is designed to guarantee visible police presence, early threat detection, and swift response to any security concern before, during, and after the examination period.
In line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, “all Area Commanders within jurisdictions hosting CBT centres have been placed on heightened operational alert and to take full charge of security management within their areas. They are to ensure strict supervision of deployed personnel, sustained patrols around examination environments, and close coordination with Divisional Police Officers, tactical teams, and JAMB officials to ensure seamless conduct of the exercise. The Command further warned that any attempt to engage in examination malpractice, impersonation, or any form of disorderly conduct will be met with swift and decisive action, including arrest and prosecution.
