For aerial monitoring of the Ondo State governorship election slated for this Saturday 16th November, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, is said to have ordered deployment of three police helicopters and four drones.
A reliable source at Force Headquarters (FHQ) Abuja, told The SUPREME this morning that, “the IG has ordered deployment of three helicopters and four drones to Ondo. They are supposed to leave today (Wednesday), but they will leave tomorrow.”
Our source could not explain the reason the helicopters, the drones and the crew could not leave Abuja today.
The dependable source disclosed that, 15 pilots are also being deployed for the election. Our source further hinted that, only two helicopters would move to Ondo tomorrow, while one will be on standby at FHQ Abuja.
We also learnt that, all the helicopters were recently serviced for effectiveness.
The 15 pilots are said to have been paid their allowances since Monday.
