Newly promoted Assistant Inspector-General AIG of Police AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade has been deployed to head Zone 2 Police Command.
Zone 2 Police Command comprises Ogun and Lagos state police commands.
Until his deployment, AIG Fayoade was Lagos State Commissioner of Police, (CP) where he made remarkable achievements of cracking sophisticated criminals involved in heinous crimes
In particular, he punctured high-profiled kidnappers in Lagos, that was celebrated nationwide
The SUPREME learnt that, some former CPs were unable to crack the kidnappers.
The kidnappers who fell to the superior firepower of the police, during the exchange of gunfire while going for the kidnapping of wealthy Nigerians, were said to be operating in expensive jeep cars with sophisticated rifles, such as AK47 rifles.
Wealthy Nigerians resident in Lagos were said to be their targets. They were said to be demanding for only foreign currencies, as ransom.
Fayoade, a dedicated Christian, is known in the Police Force as crime cracker, who believes in sanctity.
The SUPREME discrete investigations on his career, reveals that, he once won the best Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Lagos State Police Command, in crime fighting, when he was a DPO in Lagos.
In a wireless message dated 5th September 2024, from Force Headquarters Abuja, other AIGs deployed includes a former AIG Zone 2, who was once CP of Delta State, AIG Mohammed Ali Ari, now AIG Zone 1, Kano.
Similarly, former AIG attached to the office of the National Security Adviser AIG Idowu Owohiuwa has been removed and deployed as AIG Zone 12 Bauchi. He is being replaced by AIG Rex Dundun.
Otters are; AIG Julius Okoro, Zone 4, Makurdi, AIG Udolf Obe, AIG Benneth Igwe Zone 7 FCT Abuja AIG Kenechikwu Onwuemelie, AIG Sulaiman Mohammed Abdul AIG Augustina Nwuka Ogbodo and AIGi Adegboyrga Adegboye as well as AIG Mohammed Bala Labbo.
