The just-concluded Edo State governorship to election last Saturday September 21, 2024, that was considered as peaceful, has claimed the lives of five Policemen from Kano State Police Command.
The SUPREME discrete investigations revealed that, the policemen were returning to their base in Kano from Edo State yesterday evening, when the bus they were travelling in had a collision with a trailer.
We gathered that, the incident occured at about 1.20am last night at Karfi Village along Zaria expressway in Kura Local Government Area.
The SUPREME also learnt that, the bus with Registeration Number 14B101KN ran into a trailer with Registeration Number DAL 272 ZY
Three policemen, including an Inspector, a Sergeant and a Corporal were said to have died on the spot, while another Sergeant and a Corporal died later while receiving treatment.
However, ten other policemen are said to be receiving treatment as at the time of filing this report.
The SUPREME discretionary concealed the identity of the deceased policemen.
Force spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi could not be reached, as he continued blocking the phone number and WhatsApp of The SUPREME Editor.
