In view of the security threats in Anambra State, in respect of the Saturday November 6, governorship election, the Inspectir-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has deployed 13 pilots to the state .
The SUPREME reliably learnt today November 1, 2021 at Force Headquarters (FHQ) Abuja that, the 13 pilots include the Commissioner of Police (CP) incharge of Police Airwing, CP Lalas who would fly three helicopters to be deployed to hover round the three Senatorial Districts of Anambra State.
Our reliable source disclosed that, “the three helicopters and the pilots would move to Anambra tomorrow Tuesday (November 2, 2021). We are starting our operation from tomorrow,” the source disclosed.
The SUPREME further learnt that, the helicopters had been serviced last week and are in good condition to hover round Anambra State from tomorrow Tuesday till Sunday 7th November a day after the election is expected to end
We also gathered that, the IGP has provided enough aviation fuel for the period of hovering round the state.
Similarly, we learnt the pilots are armed with tear gas and other weapons to support police on ground patrol.
