Fleeing Robbers Abandon Sack Of Guns, 75 Bullets, AK-47 Ammunition, As CP Abass Warns To Make Delta Too Hot For Criminals

From Monday Ochuko – Asaba

The Ember months operational activities as emplaced by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass have reaped benefits as the Command has recorded another major achievement in the fight against crimes and criminality. This is as a result of the crime-preventing strategies adopted by the CP to achieve a crime-free yuletide and beyond.

Yesterday Tuesday 19th December, 2023 at about 1600hrs, the DPO Ekpan Police Station CSP Aliyu Shaba gathered credible intelligence about the activities of some criminal elements operating within Ekpan, Warri, and environs. The divisional surveillance team, led by the DPO Ekpan, swiftly responded to the Intel and trailed the hoodlums to their hideout behind NIGER-CAT. However, upon sighting the Police, the hoodlums took to their heels, they were given a hot chase to no avail.
An intensive search was conducted around an uncompleted building, a certain sack was found and upon search of the sack the following exhibits were recovered: one AR rifle, two magazines, seventy-five rounds of 7.62mm ammunition; one locally made cut-to-size gun, four rounds of live cartridges; one Awka-made beretta pistol; one round of 9mm ammunition. Efforts are on top gear to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects.

CP Wale Abass reiterates the Command’s commitment and determination to track down all persons involved in crime related activities and also sends a strong warning to criminals noting that the state will be too hot for them.

Spokesman of the Command DSP. Bright Edafe confirmed the story to The SUPREME.
