Immediate past Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, retired DIG Mohammed Ali Ari, is contesting for a senatorial position in the 2027 election.
DIG Ari was Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) incharge of Zone 2 Police Command, comprising Lagos and Ogun states. His exemplary performances were highly commended by Lagosians and Ogun State residents.
In a brief chat with The SUPREME on Sunday May 4th, DIG Mohammed assured of winning against his opponents in the 2027 election.
He assured that “I don’t have any strong rival. My people want me, because they believe in me. They believe that l will represent their interest adequately at the Senate. I am very sure of winning the primary and the election proper.”
Mohammed Ari is from Nasarawa State, and he is contesting for Nasarawa South Senatorial District, comprising five Local Government Areas.
He is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
