The coast on who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari next year is now clear.

Discrete investigations by The SUPREME during the Christmas and New Year Yuletide reveal that Presidency powerful caucus has resolved to present Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo as the flag bearer of All Progressive Congress (APC) for next year Presidential election.

Very reliable sources disclosed that, the issue of who succeeds Buhari next year had been paramount to the caucus since October last year 2021.

‘The issue had been of great concern. For over three months it had been the utmost priority of discussions because time is running fast,” a source hinted The SUPREME

Our investigations also reveal that about five prominent Nigerians both in APC and PDP were focused on by the caucus.

They include former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the national leader of APC, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and three others whose identities were shielded.

The SUPREME learnt that the caucus settled for Atiku and Osinbajo.

We also learnt that emissaries were sent secretly to sample Atiku”s mind. He was said to have been told to certain areas of Buhari”,s administration.

But that Atiku declined and said he will not continue with certain policies he allegedly considered obnoxious. We learnt that though Atiku did not initially identify those who approached him as working for the presidency, he was later realized that his mind was being sampled by the Presidency.

The SUPREME however was unable to unearth the “obnoxious” party Atiku allegedly declined to accept.

Subsequently the caucus was said to have finally settled for Osinbajo.

Our discrete investigations further reveal that, the Vice President, Prof Osinbajo was later invited and briefed on Presidency resolve to hand over power to him next year 2023.

We reliably learnt that, he was given the mandate to go round the country to sample people’s feelings about his pedigree and if he will be accepted by majority of Nigerians.

In addition, the Presidency was said to have approached former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to give Osinbajo his backing.

Obasanjo was said to have agreed to Osinbanjo’s candidacy but was said to have given the Presidency certain conditions that were shielded from The SUPREME.

To confirm our investigations, Vice President Osinbajo has for over three months been regularly attending public functions of that of APC and PDP.

We are investigating why Tinubu, Atiku and the rest aspirants were not given green light by the powerful caucus. Watch out!
